WE NEED YOUR HELP!
April 12, 2010
While numbers may not matter to you … they do matter to the movie industry.
We are grateful to all of you who came out to theaters this weekend, making Letters to God the number 10 movie on the box office listings.
Theaters make their decision to keep movies on the screen based on box office numbers. If numbers are low, there is always a possibility that a theater will pull a film off prematurely. While 10 may seem like a great number … we need to move up on the list to send a message and keep Letters to God in the theaters.
We need your help! If you are planning to see Letters to God today or any time throughout this week or the weekend, purchase your tickets on line TODAY. (To purchase tickets you can use Fandango, Moviefone or your local theater site) Let them know you are coming!
If you want films like Letters to God to continue to be shown in local theaters , call your theater today and thank them for showing Letters to God. Encourage them to keep Letters to God on the screen so that more people can see the film. Let them know you are spreading the word about the film. If you intend on bringing friends and family let them know. As we mentioned purchasing your tickets today sends a strong message … when you talk to someone, let them know that you already bought your tickets.
Then …
Talk with people about the movie. Use one of the spread the word tools or the invitation on the download page. Both tools make it easy to invite and tell your friends about the movie.
Tweet about what you liked about the movie and why people should go see it.
Post the commercials on your Facebook page.
Go to one of the movie sites and your local theater page and write a review, so that people considering the film will know what moviegoers thought about Letters to God. (IMDb, Fandango, Moviefone, Yahoo! Movies or Rotten Tomatoes)
We appreciate the thousands of you who have told family and friends about the movie. A good review from you makes a big difference as to whether a fellow moviegoer will go to the theater.
